Former U.S. Marine and Correctional Officer is Holding Self Defense Classes in Jacksonville, FL.
Meet Self Defense Company Instructor Terry Bowser, Sr.
Immediately after graduating high school Instructor Bowser joined the United States Marine Corps and was designated as Honor Graduate upon completion of basic training at Parris Island with Platoon 1039.
He went on to complete Infantry Training School as an Infantry Rifleman acquiring skills with several weapons and Light Anti-Tank Weapon (LAW) rockets. Mr. Bowser excelled as a scout and close quarter combat with advanced skills in First Aid, Firearm and Explosives Handling with the 3rd Force Reconnaissance Company.
After leaving the Marine Corps he became a Correctional Officer in Pensacola, FL responsible for maintaining order in the correctional facility enforcing rules and keeping order. Instructor Bowser supervised activities of inmates, inspected facilities to ensure that they met security and safety standards and searched inmates, and their cells for contraband items.
After 3 years he left corrections to join the U.S. Army and served in Desert Shield/Desert Storm and led soldiers in Operation Iraqi Freedom as a Squad Leader and Gun Truck Commander. He also trained thousands of soldiers as a Master Fitness Trainer.
