There is not ONE instance where body armor has impeded law enforcement from doing its job and access to body armor has never STOPPED and active shooter from killing.

Following the mass shooting in Dayton, Ohio, Sen. Chuck Schumer announced new legislation Sunday that would limit civilian access to “sophisticated” body armor.

Under the new legislation, which Schumer said he will introduce after the congressional recess on Sept. 9, the FBI would be required to regulate sales of bullet-resistant vests and other unspecified advanced body armor. Those in law enforcement and certain public safety positions will be exempt from the regulations.

“What we have learned is a good number of those who are intent on mass shootings buy body armor. … They want to kill as many people as possible,” said Schumer. “With the click of a mouse, the scroll of a thumb, the dialing of a phone, someone up to no good can get this.”

A range of body armor is currently available online for as little as $100. Schumer said standard hunting armor will not be included in the legislation, but did not clarify what types of “specialized” body armors will be banned from online purchase.

What does this mean?

We don’t know… the term “sophisticated” is extremely vague and how the FBI will be able to implement this is yet to be determined.

There is even some talk of prohibiting body armor at schools and other areas.

What we do know – once again, politicians are STRIPPING away our right to protect ourselves.

To me the issue is simple – before you STOP mentally disturbed people from killing people — allow me to protect myself and my family.

There is not ONE instance where body armor has impeded law enforcement from doing its job and access to body armor has never STOPPED and active shooter from killing.

This is just another issue for a politician to get his name in news and appear relevant.

What can you do?

First, you can email Senator Schumer here:

Second, before it gets “banned” you can get our body armor HERE >

Shouldn’t we be making body armor more affordable and accessible now more than ever??

We’re all in this together.

Charles Schumer doesn’t care what you or I or anyone else thinks about this issue. The fruits and commies in our govt. want you unable to resist on the day they can announce the new “People’s Republic” of the USA. You can think me crazy, if you like, but Damian, you’re a young man,and I promise you, you will see that day in your lifetime. The violence of the left since Hillary lost the election shows that they’re becoming impatient, and the next Democrat prez is likely to be the one that seizes power. I’m sorry you live in NJ, where you’re already restricted in what you may own in the way of firepower. My own state, now with 49% of the population on welfare and an estimated 20% of our population being illegal aliens from Mexico and Central America is trying to head in the same direction of disarmament, with the carrot of legalized marijuana to assure our governor’s re-election. Right now, about 30 of our 33 counties in New Mexico have indicated they’ll not enforce our new gun control laws, but I don’t know if they’ll actually have the cojones to really push back when the time comes. The Sheriffs are, after all, politicians…

  2. Have you forgotten??? It’s been 20 years but this is where it all started. The current shootings are proof that (Terrorist) are headed that way. The last two shooters had body armor on. I for one do NOT believe that a garment that is meant to protect us should be banned because of a few but that is where it’s headed. Don’t blame the politicians blame those that are using body armor so the police will not or cannot shoot them.
