SDTS Grade Certified Members will be recorded and proudly displayed on the Official Self Defense Company Rank List.

Grade Certification is very different from the course completion certificate. Course completion certificates demonstrate your general knowledge of SDTS concepts, while an SDTS Grade Certification demonstrates you have both the knowledge and the skill. This carries A LOT more weight in the SDC community and will count towards your Instructor Certification if you ever decide to take that step.

In order to receive your Certification you must demonstrate your techniques in front of a certified SDC Instructor, either in person, live on our training portal or video submission.

SDTS Grades 1 through 3 = Beginner
SDTS Grades 4 through 6 = Intermediate
SDTS Grades 7 through 9 = Advanced
SDTS Grade 10 = Expert

How it works.

1. Download the appropriate Grade Certification exam below.
   NOTE: you will not be allowed to skip. You need to pass the tests in order from 1 to 10. However you can take multiple tests at one time provided you have registered for each individual test.
2. Register for your exam below.

If you do not have an Instructor, we will assign one to you. You can take the exam in person, online or through video submission.
