Self defense is life skill that should fit your life…not the other way around.
You’ve been conditioned to believe that you need to spend a lot of time, money and be in great shape to do it. This is a myth propagated by martial artists whose
business depends on students training longer and more often. Self defense is an instinct, a life skill not a sport or a competition.
In most cases, you technically don’t need to “defeat” your attacker. All you need to do is present yourself as a HARD TARGET and RESIST long enough for him to
run a RISK REWARD analysis and realize that the “juice ain’t worth the squeeze”.
Your attacker’s risk – being caught, identified, or injured vs. his reward – whatever you have that he wants.
Don’t worry about spending a lot of time…just do a little something every day.
