My name is Dave Walker, been doing martial arts on and off for a long time. More off than on, but hey, life happens. My experience lies in judo, taekwon do, mantis kungfu, kali, and haedong gumdo.
I find kali the most useful for self defense, but still wanted to go that extra level to this combatives stuff. I read articles about it years ago, even found a pdf of Fairbairn’s Kill or Get Killed.
At that time I picked up a book called American Combatives, by John Kary and Frank J Nardi. It looks a lot like the moves you show here. Is it the same?
