Not sure I could get away with mounting anything on the walls without someone complaining or potentially calling the police. Most hotel walls are not very solid and I know I would be concerned that an innocent person was getting beat up if I heard and felt a lot of violent pounding in the room Next door. I get stuck working in CA a lot and the last thing I want is the police checking out my room. I carry a couple of self defense tools when in CA. They are all perfectly legal but CA has a reputation for arresting people for carrying legal self defense tools and forcing them to expensively prove in court that they were legal. Guilty until proven innocent when it comes to law abiding citizens wanting to be able to defend themselves:(
But if I was on the first floor I might be able to get away with putting the pad on the floor and work on stomps and other ground strikes. And might also be able to get away with hitting pillows or a pad on the bed.
