Absolutely, interval training is the way to go. sometimes I take a long run (6 to 8 miles) but most times its about 3 to 4 with a jog/walk/ sprint interval training.

Someone said it was actually better for the heart, but I always did it because it replicated combat or combat sport.

I like the “get rid” of the extraneous movement.

I always felt that the best training began after you were exhausted.
