That’s why in America we need to go back to traditional values that we used to have and away from what the media is influencing us to be now. I’m not exactly a religious but I am spiritual and believe in love and respect for my fellow human beings, and even animals also and only believe in killing them for self defense or practical purposes such as food. One good thing about religion is it does provide a code of morality for people to govern their lives by and at least for those who take it seriously encourages love, respect, and civility to our fellow man. Another traditional value that seems to be taking a “hit” these days is sports, especially old American football, but this is another reason why sports are good, especially for youngsters. It gives them a positive outlet for energy and meets the need to compete in a productive way and allows people to form a sense of companionship, unity, and teaches the value of hard work and working together and what it can accomplish. And growing up and associating with good friends and positive role models will help keep kids away from harmful activities like gangs, drugs, alcohol, violence, etc.
And people also get confused over what exactly providing for their child means. Children these days are so spoiled and entitled and expect mommy or daddy to just give them what they want when they want it. Things like food, shelter, clothing, and a warm loving home environment are needs that a child must have to be physically and emotionally healthy and that any good parent should see that those things are provided for their children. But expensive toys and the latest fancy gadgets like iphones, ipods, ipads, video games, etc. are luxuries and it is all well and good if you can afford to buy your child something of the like for christmas or birthdays. But people should remember these aren’t “needs” they’re wants and even if they can’t get that extra cheap sale that they would need to be able to buy their child that gift, then opt for something less expensive or find something else that is on sale, or next year get your ass to the store earlier lol. You and your child will live, you don’t have to knock down or run over the person in front of you at the store to get to the last Xbox, Wii, or iPhone, that is 75% off, none of that shit is worth harming another human being or being rude or disrespectful to get it.
