The majority of people are good. Most just don’t have it in them to fightback. People get scared and feel helpless.
The obvious problem is when these people close ranks and protect the predators.
One of the theories floating around regarding the psychology of man is that we’re all broken down into Priest, Soldier, Merchant and Farmer. I’ll add Thief to that as well.
Each of us has these character traits. Even though you’re not an actual soldier you probably have this personality make up.
Priest – seeks peace at all costs
Merchant – accumulates wealth and provides employment
Soldier – protects the greater good
Farmer – this is the worker bee, the person who works for the merchant
Thief – these are criminals who choose to live outside the laws of society. They ignore the priest, steal from the farmer and merchant and fight the soldier.
All of us for the most part are made up of a majority of one character type.
