Opps, I forgot the striking and physical conditioning portion of your post.

There are some Murphy’s Rules that come appear in a physical confrontation and one of these include:

You’ll get attacked when you are weak, sick or injured.

Physical conditioning is an important aspect and you should be fit, but odds are you’ll get attacked when you appear weak.

I am in pretty good shape but every so often my arthritis flares up and my knee is 3 times its size and I am walking with a cane. I do not want to get attacked at this point, but this is when I am at a disadvantage and I look like an easy target. I need something that works in these conditions. The SDTS does.

You have to be able to go no matter how you feel and no matter who you are with, kids or grandparents.

The physical conditioning will give you added confidence. However, a confrontation shouldn’t last but a few seconds anyway. We are not going 15 rounds. IF you are fighting and rolling around for more than a few seconds, then you both should stop fighting because neither one knows what they are doing. In 3 seconds, with some training, you have upwards to 15 to 20 strikes in if you count all the knees, shin kicks, elbows etc. Somebody whould be hurting by then.

Just my opinion.
