      Hi
      1. Dealing with the ‘freeze’ before responding.
      2. Judging levels of force required because of the legal consequences of getting it wrong.
      Thanks

      Thanks Paul – great questions.

We deal with the “FREEZE” through training. Your responses are based on distance triggers. When he comes into range, you react. The harder you train. Meaning, the harder you attack your target in training the less the “Freeze” becomes a factor. It’s a simple conditioned response – which is what training is all about. You’re conditioning yourself to just react.

If George Zimmerman told you anything, it’s that if you’re life is in danger, the law allows you to protect yourself. In Module 1 we show you exactly how to “smoke out” a potential threat.

He approaches you, you try to walk away – he follows you – BAM – now his intentions are clear. He is a threat.

You’re allowed to protect yourself until there is no longer a threat. That means once he’s under control, you stop. It has been my extensive experience that reasonable people stop at the right time. Knocking someone out cold is OK – stomping on their lifeless body…not so much.

Suppose you kill him with one shot?

      It’s still NOT EXCESSIVE.

Does this mean you won’t have to defend your actions in court?

Not a chance – you can still be prosecuted – but if you’re in the right, it’s unlikely. You can be sued in civil court – but then you can get sued for a push too.
