What quick effective techniques can I use when boxing with gloves on?

Hey Ruka, I noticed that you essentially posted the same question three times and in three places. First, would you care to explain a little more? What kind of results are you looking to achieve? What kind of gloves are you wearing? You mentioned boxing, but what is the situation; training/hand conditioning, self defense, sparring, etc… your question is too vague to answer as it stands, thanks.

Hi Joshua we are sparring in a competition for as long as possible. So I want effective techniques to take someone out as fast as possible. Like hammer fist or other techniques with gloves on. We haven’t been given size or anything about gloves. Thanks any information will be appreciated.

I’m going to assume this is an “mma” type competition and not strictly boxing rules, because if it is strictly boxing you can’t use anything but “straight knuckle” punches. For mma style rules it does open up a larger variety of techniques like a back fist and hammer fist. With that being said, the best and quickest techniques to finish people in that type of competition is honestly footwork. Footwork allows you to maneuver yourself and your opponent into positions of advantage, helps you escape disadvantage, and is where you will generate stability in your strikes as well as speed and power. Aside from footwork, your jab-cross or hook-hook combo will be your best bet. I’ve been watching a LOT of mma knockouts recently and the vast majority come from a cross while positioned off the opponent’s centerline and driving the hit right into the “KO” button on the chin. That is usually accomplished through footwork and the jab-cross. Jab, step offline, cross. Rinse and repeat.

There isnt any magical technique that will allow you to end it quickly that fits within sporting competition. In all honesty we teach self defense techniques for self defense situations. If you’re looking to dominate a sport tournament you should enroll in either boxing or “mma” sporting classes. I don’t know what your experience level is, but it takes a lot of time and practice to be able to be competitive in sports. Most (all legitimate) sports don’t allow lethal strikes, if that’s what you’re looking to use, I suggest you don’t do it in the sparring tournament. You’ll probably go to jail if you kill someone and they find out you were asking about lethal techniques for a sporting event. Just my two cents.
