Hello Connor! Welcome to the SDC! What made you decide to try it out?

Hi Joshua! I have always been interested in self defence and martial arts and this site came up as an ad and I thought it looked very cool! I sent an email to customer service as I received an email to say my ‘fast course’ and ‘quick kills and deadly finishes’ membership is expiring but are they not supposed to be programs that are paid for once and I will always have access to? Please help me in this lol

Hi Conor – Thanks for getting the FC and QK. Those programs are for 45 days and 60 days. They are not a subscription and they are not auto-renew. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hey Damian! Ahh okay I see, thank you for letting me know. I also sent an email to customer service but I thought I would also just post here that I was wanting to cancel my elite academy subscription for now please. I would appreciate if you could do this for me please as I am not able to do this on the site. This would be much appreciated. Thank you

Hi all. I’m Jim, 58 yrs and some martial arts background.
I am new to the forum and relatively new to the system. I first signed on with the combatives fast course about a year ago and just never was able get time to work this into my schedule. I have gone through the fast course but feel I should do it again to refresh.
Just a quick question, is it realistic to think that one can learn effective defence alone from an online resource?
      TIA.

        Welcome Jim,

As to your question about learning effective self defense. The answer is that it is entirely possible, however, as with any physical skill it requires actual practice. Watching the videos are great for information, but one MUST get up and practice hitting with the techniques. There are grade level certifications that are conducted by a certified instructor who will pass or fail you based on expertise. You can also take advantage of one-on-one virtual face-to-face sessions if you feel you need extra insight or help; or if you live near a certified instructor you can obviously schedule in person training as well. There is also a spot in the forum where you can try and connect with others who use the system in your area for “partner practice”. We have tried to cultivate a community and not “just sell videos”.

Hope that answers your question. If you have any others feel free to reach out either in the forum or email directly (I think if you click on my name it will take you to my instructor info). Thanks for joining us!
