Clearly, I’m a little late getting to this party. I am Nate, located in south central (Madison) Wisconsin, US. There is so much to me that I could not even begin to put it into an intro. I’m a jack of all trades, currently working private sector security. I personally believe that one aspect of personal responsibility defined is taking ownership of your personal safety. This is why I pursued becoming a SDC instructor. prior to joining, I’d been a defender and protector, painting a target on me for bullies to leave those less capable alone. This turned into that and turned into the other thing. Then, upon reviewing SDC content, and seeing the same things I know to work being so methodically trained in such a learning conducive environment, I had to jump on board. This stuff works, and I want to be able to further help others by helping you discover what will work for you and your unique personal defense needs.

Check out my instructor website with the link provided below. Thank you for joining and being a part of the best self defense solution available!

    Hello,
I’m a Nate, SDTS level 3 instructor. Would you be interested in working directly with a certified instructor?

i would say for me, the most “unnatural” feeling is drop stepping from the interview stance vs the bladed stance. however, while important all around to doing damage while taking ground, from the interview stance i think it most important. the reason for this being, from the interview stance, you are really really trying not to telegraph your strike, no winding up, just explosive from still position. without your weight dropping into that first strike, you’re power will be on a similiar level as the stationary feet example given above.

do your worst, fast and first. i couldn’t break it down any better than above, so i’ll leave it at that.

look at how this guy is training and demonstrating. I don’t know of to many occasions where you have the ability to focus on the incoming firearm the way this guy does. he literally doesn’t take his eyes off it almost the entire time. this is fancy fun, not real world effective.

really, everything has already been said. but my 2 cents, zi can only stress again how different a fight like we’re talking about is different from anything out there.

personally, wow i have a long story, but to sum up, i’ve always been an intense person, and in recent years I’ve discovered i have strong norwegian heiritage, so i’ve been meditating on my ancestors, the profession of viking, what it took and how berserkers were different than normal viking troops, and tapping into that ferocity to add to my varied and diverse background.

i’m now seeking to help people touch their dark, intense, primal place inside.
i believe that if you’re not able to tap into that, you’re self defense is lacking.

its why, in the SDTS, we have the BOB, its why we hit things and hard, its why we body condition.. to start to develop that ability to tap into that reptilian brain.

do your WORST, fast and FIRST.

Is guardian defensive tactics the same as the vault series guardian police combatives?

also, what’s the story on the legion elite?

    thanks
