    Anglo_Saxon_Combatant,

Remember, 90% is attitude and intent while 10% is technique. While it sounds you have the later down, here are a few tips to work on the attitude portion.
When training my students here in Afghanistan, I tell them when they strike their target always deliver three – four successive blows and think of the following jingle “HIT with HATE, HIT to HURT.” I think that is self-explanatory. Give this a try and let me know how your demeanor has changed.

    Don’t Believe the Hype!
I have had the privilege of training with some top notch US SOF soldiers in hand to hand combat. While in Iraq in 2005, I was fortunate enough to receive instruction from one of the most talented martial artist I have ever met. His name is Mike Foley LTC USA (Ret). https://h2hctc.com/ You can google him and find out his list of accomplishments or visit his website. He wears no mask, list no pseudo names, rather he is very humble, very kind and frank. Furthermore, he lists all of his teachers and their lineage. This man has lived and applied his art in a variety of environments. I asked Mike, point blank where he learned what he learned. His response: “No special S.O.F. “black ops” schools, rather the Army paid for him to train with civilians and those who where true master’s in their arts”. That was just part of his job, bottom line.
The point is, there are no military “ninja schools” and anyone who has to hide their identity under a mask and false name is a fake and a liar.
Look, I am tired of the Capt Crunch, Chris Pizzio’s and now this other quack out there who takes a Matt Furey course on marketing, hires a publicity agency to write bogus material with unverifiable information, steals other people’s material, receives a little training, then trumps up some B.S. record of wins/competitions, military records whatever. They do it to make a quick buck off those who are gullable.
In my 22 years of military service, both active/reserve, I have worked hard in my roles as an infantry officer, reconnaissance Marine and intelligence officer. I have sacrificed a great deal for my country because I felt it has been my duty! So when I see a fraud, I will expose it and not have the honor of my fellow service members and their sacrifices marginalized by those who inflate their own self-image in order to con others.

    Walter,
Thanks for the question. First, let me define the term “Axis of Evil” for those who may not be familiar with it. “Axis of evil” is a term coined by United States President George W. Bush in his State of the Union Address on January 29, 2002 in order to describe governments that he accused of helping terrorism and seeking weapons of mass destruction. President Bush named Iran, Iraq, and North Korea in his speech.

Iraq and Afghanistan are no longer considered the “Bad Guys” but having served one tour in Iraq and three in Afghanistan (from where I

    Darrin,

I applaud your daughter’s service to her country…I’m sure you are very proud of her. To answer your question as to whether or not she will be conducting combatives training while at Airborne school. While it has been 13 years since I went to jump school I don’t think they have changed the training much…if any. Several reasons for this: First, the mission of Airborne school is to train qualified paratroopers. Period! Secondly, students already face numerous dangers which is an inherit part of their training so I really do not see them being uneccessarily exposed to any secondary training which could potentionally injure them. If someone else out there knows otherwise…please inform.
