No, looks like they deleted it. I remember commenting objectively on their video and was blocked. Basically they demonstrated a dynamic attacker lunging in with a single lead hand knife thrust.
They than used the forearm parry as taught by Rex Applegate to deflect the thrust and followed up with blows.
I hope it’s obvious why it’s not what Carl and Damian teach and more importantly why it demonstrates a lack of understanding of reality. The WW2 methods were by no means perfect. Carl and Damian have improved the methods significantly by stripping out all of the bad.

If you can clear the weapon, do so. Grab the weapon or the hand or parry or chop, whatever you can get is what you get. This should be instinctive. Just like if someone reached for your gun, even if you trained not to grab it, you still probably will.
If you can’t see the weapon or are unable to clear it, you have no choice but simply to attack (Module 1 is technically a complete, standalone unarmed self defense system) and hope modern medicine can save you from your injuries. The good thing is there is a chance your attacker may be reluctant to actually discharge the firearm/even has any bullets/stab you.
BUT being caught unarmed against an armed attacker does lower your chances of surviving. America’s founders understood this. Having a blinding 260 lumen tactical flashlight in-hand will increase your chances of surviving all kinds of low-light assaults. All kinds. Same goes for having a 2.5 oz canister of OC pepper spray or a J-frame revolver chambered in .357 Magnum. Damian emphasizes pepper spray at the beginning of Module 8 for a reason.
Just like with ground fighting, you’d rather be the one standing up than on the ground.

Not Damian, but I watched the spanish facebook video you posted and had these thoughts. Assuming one is aware of his surroundings:
1) If one were in a shady part of town, one should have been prepared with a weapon and be ready to use it. A 2 oz canister of pepper spray can be held in the hand without drawing much suspicion, whether you’re walking or standing on the street. This also assumes you don’t look like a criminal. Threat presents itself, you spray them in the eyes to at least take their vision. Now you choose to either run or fight depending on if he closes on you.
2) In the beginning, the gun is pointed at the ground. If you can hit hard, and hit first, you’ll probably be OK. If you’re not good at empty hand striking, than of course the odds are against you.
3) Even when this guy chose to WAIT, he still could have cleared the gun by twisting his body and using the forearm parry. Granted, the closer you let someone get to you without attacking first, the more factors such as size, speed, and strength will play a role.
I see public schools as government indoctrination facilities. It’s getting harder and harder to home school in this country and even private schools are seen as racist institutions because there aren’t enough minorities and are propagators of hate speech. A kid doesn’t need to be held by the hand to get an education, any kid with the right mindset of dedication, discipline, and drive could easily learn much more on his own with all the resources available on the internet in this day and age. I would want my kids home schooled in Ron Paul’s online home schooling curriculum and socialize with other kids at a local judo or BJJ club.

Agreed. I think the whole thing goes back to “follow the money.” By complicating education in any subject, you are able to create more jobs and work for educators that otherwise wouldn’t. The value of a mandated well rounded liberal/general education is the equivalent of an individual training in muai thai to learn striking, bjj for ground, and fma for weapons.
Testosterone needs a legal outlet. Dallas, if it bothers you, it’s perfectly legal to ask your sister’s boyfriend that you and him need to have a 1-on-1 guy talk outside. Regarding the libido, the obvious answer, that’s perfectly legal, is to start talking to every attractive girl you see no matter where you are, SINGLE girls, to be exact. You should NEVER even bother looking at GROUPS of girls during the day. Not because it’s disrespectful, but because you miss out on the girls who are ALONE and shopping by THEM SELF. Keep in mind that you never KNOW for sure if a girl is underage until you ask. Best thing to do is to ask for directions to the nearest Starbucks, etc. and transition the conversation to more friendly/social to find out her age. A lot of girls just have a baby face. Introduce your self off a hi-five or a hand shake and just hold on to their hand and that’s the trick, DON’T let go of her hand while keeping the conversation going. The girls that are NOT DTF will immediately yank out their hand no matter what you do so you should just LEAVE after trying twice. The Maybe girls will yank out their hand the 1st time you try, but if you go back to normal conversation and build more social comfort, you can try again in a couple minutes and maybe turn them into a YES DTF girl. No more guesswork and mental masturbation about whether or not she’s DTF, if she was, she’d let you hold onto her hand without getting creeped out.

More like a horizontal LONG edge of hand to the back of the neck/base of the skull, followed by more of the same until he goes OUT. If his back is turned, you can lead with power and follow w/ power on a specific target. I wouldn’t gamble with the web of hand to the back of the neck KO when there’s a GUN already drawn and pointed at someone, the web of hand is more for trying to break up a fight or to subdue someone if you’re security/law enforcement.
The bad ones already do regardless of what laws are passed…that’s why they’re “bad.” But the good ones who are both smart enough to know their Constitutional rights and the spirit behind how this nation was founded already know how to conceal weapons and carry responsibly and will continue to carry regardless of what laws are passed and simply do their best to avoid situations where they would be searched in violation of their 4th amendment rights. A VERY SMALL MINORITY of juveniles understand that unconstitutional law is not law. The bigger issue is that the way public education is set up, the MAJORITY of juveniles are raised to look for authoritarian figures for protection as well as how they should live their lives and need instructions for everything. The trend seems to be that in kindergarten and elementary school, children are given too much freedom in the sense that “there are no wrong answers” and “everybody gets a gold star/participation trophy” and that it’s more important to talk about feelings and self-esteem than it is to memorize facts and arithmetic. This is why our kids suck at math and science especially as compared to kids in China and India…they have such a weak foundation from elementary. By the time they get to high school, right when they’re actually starting to be capable of free thought and making their own decisions, this gets flipped 180 on it’s head and now it’s all about memorization of “facts” aka the liberal worldview, your grades are based on how much you agree with your teacher, a bell rings to tell you when you can move to the next “station,” eat lunch, etc. just like an industrial factory in China, you have to raise your hand in order to speak even though by this age you likely have a point to make that is equally if not more valid than the core state standards that this lower middle-class socialist teacher is indoctrinating everyone with. And for God’s sake, teens who are smart enough to be enrolled in multiple AP college level classes still have to ASK PERMISSION to go take a shit and teachers have the AUTHORITY to make them hold it in for “5 more minutes until the bell rings.” So after all these years of state sponsored police enforced prison time, they are finally released back into society to be workers and the MAJORITY become subservient to the idea of an authoritarian big brother government police state that has to tell everyone what to do, how to be safe, and how to take care of your fellow worker via communism. The MINORITY who survived the state sponsored indoctrination and were smart enough to NOT get totally brainwashed are just that…the MINORITY of voters. Ron Paul’s home schooling curriculum is sounding more and more appealing as time passes.
He clearly used a Krav Maga style gun defense he probably saw off youtube. He grabbed the barrel and punched it into the criminal’s hip, “redirecting the line of fire(true, but that’s the easy part)” and pinning it there, “controlling the weapon(not really)” and than proceeded with multiple punches to the jaw(great if you can actually knock him out). Problem was that after the punches, he still couldn’t quite wrench the gun out of his hands and “break his trigger finger in the process.” Luckily, the gun was either unloaded, jammed, or he was just unwilling to fire as the fight went down to the ground. I tend to look at the fact that the criminal was still conscious and that they had to hold him down until the police arrived as an example of how the average guy using punches isn’t enough to consistently knock another fully grown criminal out. He would have been much better off using edge of hand chops anywhere along the general neck area. But above all else, he should have taken the GOLDEN opportunity to attack while the criminal’s back was TURNED on HIM and the gun was pointed at someone ELSE. Why WAIT until the gun is pointed at you to actually do something? So now as a result of an EMOTIONAL tragedy, we are LOGICALLY conditioned to accept more TSA groping and more restrictions on what we can’t carry on planes, now isn’t that just so convenient for big government?
I find that the best response to keyboard warriors like him is to first address their “concerns” seriously and than finish with an insult for the sake of everyone else reading the comments section. The reality is that the “concerns” he brings up are legitimate in the sense that other people who are looking at clips of the SDTS but aren’t willing to troll with a comment will have the same questions related to “how do you not control the weapon when everyone else is showing that” and “how can you not have a training partner when everyone else does” and “how would these simple techniques possibly work on someone bigger and stronger, everyone else is showing more complicated techniques to specifically deal with someone bigger and stronger” etc.
