Mechanics of the Tiger Claw

Is the Tiger Claw thrown with the same mechanics as a strait punch and do I curl the fingers to get a simultaneous eye gouge?

Hey Adam – Focus on driving with the heel of the hand, similar mechanics of a straight punch. The fingers naturally curl back when you thrust the heel of the hand towards the target (Don’t think about them).

Now you have a choice…recoil and strike again or drive the fingers into the face and eyes. But hit with the heel of hand first – not the fingers. The fingers are a follow up.

I love the explanation Damian. I am a huge fan of either driving fingers into the face and eyes or ripping and tearing downwards. All great stuff though.
