Something to think about. This link is about an elderly couple and son in his 40’s beaten down in mass assault in Thailand while on vacation. The assailants were later caught and have said they would have fought if they were not under influence. Video is included in the article. This article also states current growing trend towards tourists. Even here in Japan (where I currently live) there is a trend of a “right of manhood” among males in the late teens and 20’s. The “right of manhood” is get into a fight with a foreigner.

There had been documents reports of assaults, rapes and murders. One question to all. What does all of these victims may have in common other than being tourists? What could have been done to avoid this situation and or diffuse?
